I found your Harry Potter tarot years ago in a Google search, and am so glad you have continued to add to the collection. Even if we can never buy a set, just knowing there is such stunning and mindful work is enough.  Thank you for sharing it with us.

What a lovely, kind comment!!  Thank you so much for saying this.  I know it's taking me many (many) years, but it really is a labor of love and it's so gratifying to hear that people enjoy it.  Thank you very much!

Something I thought I'd pass along for your consideration.  A lot of tarot writers still assign almost all negative meanings to the suit of Swords (in your deck, Slytherin).  Years ago I got very unhappy with that unequal distribution and sometimes I get a breakthrough for a card that's more positive.

Not long ago that happened for me with the Seven of Swords.  In the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck, a man is carrying three swords away from a gathering, and four more are standing in the ground.  It usually winds up being called theft, or sneakiness or something of that nature.  The Aeclectic interpretation does talk about Swords being intellect, but then falls back on a warning against theft of intellectual property.  I've come to see the Seven of Swords more of a sharing than an unauthorized taking.  I see the tents in the background as a professional convention, people who make their livelihood in the same industry coming together to find out what's new and to share ideas.  There are of course the vendors trying to get you to buy stuff, but also the guest speakers and seminars where people can tell their success stories and even the not-so-successful stories to help you learn from their mistakes.  For me, the man in the foreground had brought four swords to share, and is going back to work with three great new ideas to try.

I don't know where the Seven of Slytherin is in your timetable, and I don't presume to tell you how to do the artwork for the card, but I thought maybe there are some positive ideas you could incorporate when you get to this card.

Thanks for this comment!  Actually, it's interesting you mention the Slytherin/swords I've chosen, because I'm actually thinking I'm going to change them back from using the Hogwarts houses to just the regular suites - because really, swords, wands, cups and coins works well within the HP universe, too!  And that way it's less confusing for people, and also prevents me from having to explain why the Marauders are on a Hufflepuff card, etc.  =P (Razz)
The 7 of Swards is actually one that I've been putting off because I'm STILL not even sure what scene/character exactly to use for it!  If you have any suggestions for it, I welcome them!  :D (Big Grin)
