Based slightly after Ronan Vibert, an actor who was once rumored to be up for the part of Lupin. One of my few facial-hairless Lupins, but also one of my favorite portraits I've done of him.

mechanical pencil. 2002, 8 x 11".

The facial expression is perfect for Remus. His eyes reflect his undeserved inner-torment really well.

Thank you, I'm glad you see it. I was really trying to get that pain across!

I really like this interpretation of him. He looks young and vulnerable. I never understood the porn 'tache they gave him in the movies. :-)

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not a fan of movie!Lupin's facial hair, personally. *shrug*

I'm not a fan of movie!Lupin in general. He was all wrong for the part. I think Liam Neeson or Sting would have been ideal. Particularly, Liam Neeson.

There are some things about him that I liked/appreciated, but in general, yeah, he wasn't anywhere near what I'd pictured or hoped for. But I know that it's unrealistic to expect the filmmakers to read my mind, so whatever. I deal with it (I also love Alan Rickman, but have fairly large issues with movie!Snape, too, but I dare not express them for fear of backlash for having such an unpopular opinion!)
