8 of Swords/Slytherin: Harry Bound to Tom Riddle's tombstone Reasoning: This is the card of powerlessness - restriction, confusion, persecution. Harry is alone and in trouble, needing outside assistance and absolutely trapped at this point. But hope still exists... and the moment he is given a chance, Harry escapes this situation. This card reminds us to take our chances at freedom as well, no matter how hopeless it seems.
Poor Harry (and Cedric)! For me this was one of the darker chapters in the series. Harry certainly changed quite a bit after this incident (Who wouldn't?). Great details and you really convey his pain and feelings of helplessness.
