Elsa and Anna Graveside by nasubionna Elsa and Anna Graveside by nasubionna
I love Anna and Elsa's parents.  Yes, they made some huge mistakes in how they dealt with Elsa's powers, but they were human, and we all make mistakes.  Sometimes we hurt the ones we love terribly, when all we want is to protect them.  I feel so much compassion for the King, the Queen, and their daughters.

I like to imagine that Anna and Elsa forgive their parents, and work towards healing the hurt that scarred their lives for so long.  I also like the idea that now that Elsa is free, she can finally visit the graves of her parents as her true self.
I also like the idea of Elsa wearing somewhat of a combination of her own icy dress with a more traditional Arendelle queen outfit, now that she's ruling the kingdom openly and properly.

Copic marker on Vellum paper.

i think your outfit for Elsa is very appropriate. More then the ice dress which I'm sorry i don't think she could command her guards and soldiers wearing her ice dress. She's pretty in it but as queen she needs to wear something more regal.

I think her parents thought that people would kill her, that's why they locked her in the castle. If you notice in the movie, the troll king showed her being attacked. And her father said "we'll protect her." I think they thought they were protecting her. I have a cannon theory in that last journey, they were trying to find a way to control Elsa's powers.

That's probably what was going on.

I mean you can tell they loved her, they just didn't know what to do. Its like a kid with a disease you can't cure, and they suffer and the parents are helpless. Too bad there weren't magic teachers

Wonderful take on how Elsa would dress as queen! And you do such amazing, beautiful detail work. They look gorgeous.

I love how you made it in a traditional Nordic style. I can see it as a scene painted in a chapel wall or stained glass telling the saga of Arendelle and its rulers:)

Elsa and Anna's parents were flawed but hey, even if there is trolls in that world, it's normal absolutely NORMAL to know your child has ice powers, so they tried their best with the little knowledge they had.
